 Is your district experiencing an increase of English Language Learners (ELLs)?
Are you wondering how to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of your ELLs?

During this workshop we will discuss basic legal requirements, how students acquire language, and how to address cultural issues. In the
afternoon, you will split into two groups, elementary staff and middle/high school staff, to learn about specific strategies for educating English learners at your grade level. All participants will receive the new Getting Started with ELLs handbook.

Registration Fee:

  • FREE (up to 6 participants) to CESA 6 Immigrant Grant Districts (Berlin, Clintonville, Dodgeland, Freedom, Hartford Jt 1, Horicon, Kaukauna, Kewaskum, Shiocton)
  • CESA 6 Title III Consortium Members $75.00 per participant
  • CESA 6 Title III Nework Members $100.00 per participant
  • All other districts $180.00 per participant

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
