In this after school professional learning community participants will collaborate and plan for implementing writing strategies learned during the summer sessions with Kelly Gallagher.  Together we will determine the continued best interest of students in the ELA classroom.  Reading, writing, speaking and listening are the constant in ELA instruction and this will be explored through a writing lens.

Learning outcomes include:

  1. Participants will have the opportunity to anaylze, discuss and share perspectives about ELA instruction.
  2. Participants will collaborate on how to use models to elevate student writing.
  3. Participants will be reminded what works best in teaching reading and writing.
  4. Participants will collaborate and plan strategies to sharpen speaking and listening skills through a writing lens.

This workshop is offered at no cost to districts participating in Titlel I Fee for Service including the districts of Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Colby, Cornell, Eleva-Strum, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.  The cost for all other CESA 10 districts is $175 per participant.   The cost for those outside of CESA 10 is $300.
