CANCELLED: 2017 Data Retreat (2-day workshop)

Purpose:
This two-day data retreat is designed for school or district leadership teams to collaboratively investigate end-of-year student data to inform future improvement planning.

Activities:
Leadership teams (including the school principal) will engage in a structured data inquiry process to investigate the attainment and growth of students in their school over the past one to three years. Teams will utilize online technology to access and study data findings, while documenting their work. Data findings will lead to a process into potential root causes for critical data findings. Teams will leave the retreat with:

• Essential achievement data questions
• Current data charts and graphs that answer essential questions
• Summarized and prioritized data findings
• Data-informed goals for improvement
• Hypotheses of practices as likely contributing root causes
• Draft of possible actions for improvement planning
• Plan to continue improvement planning and launch goals and plans with staff

What to Bring:

• Leadership teams who understand the purpose for the data retreat and follow ground rules for collaboration
• Laptop computers
• LCD projector
• Extension power cords
• WISEdash for Districts access at the student analyst level
• Access to local interim assessments or data warehouse tools

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
