CESA 8 is pleased to announce that Wisconsin Technology Initiative will be holding a 2-Day SMART Board Notebook Training here free for all attendants. Any CESA 8 School District that is receiving a WTI Grant is required to send 2 people to this workshop

Day 1 Goals

  • Getting to Know You
    • What is your comfort with SMART Notebook software?
    • What have you heard about that you want to discover?
  • Creating with Style and Purpose
    • How can you leverage the interactive tools of SMART Technologies to benefit student learning?
  • Creating to Meet Student Needs
    • How/when do you envision using SMART Technologies?
    • What ways can I adjust lessons to best meet the needs of diverse learners?

Day 2 Goals

  • Bring Engagement to a New Level
    • What does student engagement look like?
    • What are ways to increase engagement levels within SMART Notebook software?
  • Reflection
    • What information have I gain as a result of this training?
    • How will by practice change based upon my new knowledge?

Amy Sterckx has been working as a Technology Integration Specialist for Green Bay Area Public School District for the past four years. Prior to, Amy spent four years teaching in both elementary and middle school settings. She has earned her Masters of Arts in Educational Technology and Online Teaching Certificate through Marian University. As an educator, Amy has a passion for interactive technologies such as SMART products. She is a SMART Certified Educator Trainer as well as a member of 1,500 leaders worldwide known as SMART Exemplary Educators. Amy has contracted with Tierney Brothers for the past year. She has earned her Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) and Google Certifications. Amy serves on the District’s Technology Resources Coordination Team, and multiple school-based Technology Teams.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs.
