The focus of the 2017-18 Working on the Work (WOW) Professional development series is Student Engagement for Learning & Equity.

WOW offers high-quality professional development to the widest possible audience of Wisconsin educators by offering two events with nationally-known speakers and a full menu of extension materials to continue the learning and deepen engagement in your district, school, or classroom between events. Extension materials are specifically designed to meet the varied needs of individual educators and teams, including access to a Quick-Learn Library of information, teacher-voiced motivation and exemplars, a Strategy Bank of ideas to implement in the classroom, and a Reader's Cafe growth-oriented book study.

Speaker: Kenneth Williams, author of Starting a Movement

Ken Williams is Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Unfold the Soul, a group which trains entrepreneurs, educators, and motivated individuals how to accelerate the achievement of their personal and professional goals.

Ken's background includes a BA from Morehouse College and he also holds a Master degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Leadership Certificate from the Bowie State University.  For nearly 20 years, he has been a teacher, assistant principal, sales manager, educational consultant, trainer, speaker and a leading authority in the areas of collaboration, breakthrough achievement, leadership, and peak performance.
