Description:

Educators recognize the need for timely, effective nonviolent interventions with students who exhibit challenging behaviors.  They know that such interventions improve the physical safety of all participants and create a more trusting and caring learning environment.

The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention? the program is a safe, nonharmful behavior management system designed to help educational and human services professionals provide the best possible Care, Welfare, Safety and Security of disruptive, assaultive, and out-of-control individuals.

The new enhanced NVCI programming provides the same core program, now with additional content and new physical intervention options.

Note:  All training will be the Enhanced Training content.  Due to CPI quality standards, trainers will no longer be teaching the legacy version of the NVCI content.

The NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program is NEW and ENHANCED!

It’s the same core program you’ve always known with additional content and new physical intervention options.

Added Content

Several new learning models and physical intervention options give you highly effective tools to better guide your day-to-day decision-making.

Greater Depth

Within each unit, you’ll take a more intentional look at the thoughts and feelings that drive risk behaviors, and connect them to your professional values.

New Guidelines - Refresher
At CESA 6, our trainers have now been trained in the enhanced version!  Due to CPI guidelines and quality standards, CESA 6 instructors may only teach the enhanced version.

Participants who received their initial training from a Certified Instructor using the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training without  the enhanced content, must complete the Enhanced Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training prior to taking a refresher. Therefore, there will be no refresher options available this year, but there are plenty of initial enhanced training available.
