Cancelled Mentoring Conversations: The Next Level of Mentoring

Mentoring Conversations will focus on the next level of being an effective mentor. This workshop will focus on instructional coaching practices for experienced mentors.

Participants will:

• Develop an understanding of the differences between traditional professional development, traditional supervisory and mentoring models, and instructional coaching.
• Interpret current models of instructional coaching in order to determine the right fit in the coaching and mentoring cycle
• Develop an understanding of how instructional coaching as a mentor can facilitate best practices in mentees and other colleagues.
• Engage in instructional coaching practice with a colleague using strategies learned through the course
• Develop a clear understanding of the role the coach/mentor can play in the school district and systems which can support the work of coaches and mentors

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
