Participants will learn how to integrate NGSS, STEM Inquiry, and Engineering Standards in their classrooms, in both low-tech as well as more sophisticated makerspace learning environments. Participants will explore how to incorporate growth mindset while utilizing materials found in a “junk drawer.” Participants will exercise higher order thinking skills as they experience Junk Drawer inquiry and design challenges in order to bring back and model for students. Participants will also link literacy STEM inquiry through lesson planning.
