CTE Network Night #5 and ServSafe Exam for FCS teachers

We have a very differentiated Network Night planned for you for this last session!

FCS teachers- You will have 2 choices:

     1. You can take the ProStart ServSafe Exam during the evening (or we're offering an afternoon session as well), proctored by Alex Newman of the WI Restaurant Association.

     2. You can participate in a general or discipline-specific networking session which will include teaching complex disciplinary text, CTSOs, content information and/or other topics of your choosing as a group.

Tech Ed and Ag teachers - You will have 2 choices:

     1. Mike Dietrich of Simlog will be on hand to provide simulations, simulators, and demonstrations including (but not limited to) AVRover;  Lincoln Electric - VRTEX Welding System Virtual Reality Welder; Minds-i Robotics (multiple Aand Heavy Equipment Tabletop Simulators such as the Forklift, Hydraulic Excavator, Bulldozer, Wheel Loader, Mobile Crane, and Tower Crane as well as literature and smaller kits related to a few other product lines, such as LexSolar Electronics and Renewable Energy Program, and LJ Create, which has an extensive STEM Based curriculum that ranges from Kindergarten all the way up to an advanced Autolab.

     2. You can participate in a general or discipline-specific networking session which will include teaching complex disciplinary text, CTSOs, content information and/or other topics of your choosing as a group.

Business Ed and Marketing teachers - 

     1.  You can participate in the Tech Ed/Ag simulation/demonstrations.

     2.  You can participate in a general or discipline-spescific networking session which will include teaching complex disciplinary text, CTSOs, content information and/or other topics of your choosing as a group.

As always, CTE Network Nights are open to all. There is no charge for Perkins Consortium districts, CTE Leadership or CTE Lite, $50 for all others.

The evening begins at 4:30 with supper (FCS teachers taking the ProStart Certification will fill their plates and immediately go to the testing room to being the exam).  The networking and/or simulation sessions run from 5:00-7:00 pm for all others

No charge for this event for CESA #4 Carl Perkins Consortium Districts.  This includes:  ACHM, Arcadia, Bangor, BRF, Cashton, C-FC, De Soto, G-E-T, Hillsboro, Independence, La Farge, Mel-Min, N-O-W, Royall, West Salem, Whitehall, Wonewoc.  

No Charge for this event for CESA #4 CTE Leadership Project Districts.  This includes LaCrosse, Onalaska, Sparta, Tomah, Westby.  Also No Charge if registering only for the ServSafe Exam. Please include this information in the Special Instructions Section.

All others:  $50.00 per night. 

 

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event. CESA #4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA #4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA #4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.

Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA #4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.

Other Helpful Hints: Room temperatures vary from one workshop location to another, so bring a jacket or sweater for maximum comfort.

Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
