Description This workshop will provide participants with an evidence-based practice approach for designing and implementing appropriate educational programs for students with ASD. This approach allows for the implementation of a variety of instructional strategies. Numerous examples of how to organize various educational environments to increase comprehension and independent functioning for the student with ASD will be given. In addition, numerous easy to make visual instructional support strategies will be shown.

Registration fee: $220 per participant  (Fee includes materials, continental breakfast and lunch )

WES3The teacher understands how pupils differ in their approaches to learning and the barriers that impede learning and can adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with disabilities and exceptionalities.
WES4The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies, including the use of technology to encourage children’s development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received 48 business hours before the scheduled date for a refund to be issued. Because attendance at most sessions is limited, persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
