WOW Session 2: Building Expertise Part I---Anchor Speaker: Peter DeWitt (Visible Learning for Teachers)
This is the second of a four-part series intended to deepen understanding, achieve consensus, and build strategies around local implementation of Educator Effectiveness. Each event will utilize a combination of on-site and virtual participation strategies to guide local, regional, and state collaboration between educators at CESAs across Wisconsin simultaneously. Recommended team size is four to six. Each WOW event builds upon information and teamwork from the previous session. Team members are therefore requested to commit to four dates (the full series) when registering.
WOW is funded by DPI and is being offered at no charge (registration, lunch, and materials) to participants. Please note that there are two possible dates for each event and each participant must register individually for each. In the event of scheduling conflicts, team member flexibility/substitution will be allowed.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
