Join us for this one day workshop with Dr. Catherine Collier. Dr. Collier is a national expert in the area of Special Education and English learners. She has worked with thousands of school districts to ensure the language acquisition and cultural needs of English learners are properly addressed throughout the RtI and Special Education process. Learn how to use the AQS checklist to determine the level of acculturation impacting English learners and how this impacts their learning. Workshop fee includes a copy of Dr. Collier’s book Seven Steps for Separating Difference from Disability for each participant. Additionally, follow up resources will be available on our online learning portal.

Who should attend? K-12 Special Education staff; Special Education directors; ELL/Bilingual teachers and coordinators; RtI Coordinators, Intervention teachers

Registration fee: $220 per person.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
