Course Description
Add+VantageMath RecoveryTM (AVMR) Course 2 will cover the Learning Framework in Number and the AVMR assessments for Place Value and Multiplication and Division.  The Classroom Instructional Framework for Early Number will provide detailed guidance for teachers in the development of instructional sequences. Collegial sharing and working with a school learning team are integral parts of this course to support teacher growth.

Course Objectives

  • Teachers will learn to administer and use diagnostic interviews to understand student number knowledge and arithmetic strategies
  • Teachers will learn to employ a constructivist approach to the teaching of mathematics

Course Prerequisites 
Teaching certification and AVMR Course 1

Who should attend?
Elementary Administrators, K-5 Teachers, Title I & Special Education Teachers

Cancellation Policy: Any registration cancellation must be received, in writing, at least 5 business days before the first session date for a refund to be issued. Because attendance is limited, participants not in attendance at any course sessions will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel the course due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone of cancellation.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
