The CREATE Office will be hosting a Beyond Diversity I Training December 6-7, 2011 at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor's Club located in Madison, Wi. Beyond Diversity training is an intense focus on race, anti-racism, and equity. Participants will be engaged and challenged for two days of personal reflection and understanding. The target audience groups are: District Administrators, Principals, Teachers, All Staff, Parents, and Community Members.The training is open to educators, community, parents and business people.The facilitator for this event will be Terryln Curry Avery from Pacific Educational Group. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.

Note: This is a full 2 day training. Attendees are expected to attend both days.

Recommended reading prior to event:  Courageous Conversations About Race by Glenn E. Singleton and Curtis Linton.

Registration Cost: There is no registration cost to attend this event.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
