PALS and Other Researched Based Literacy Screeners

 

Next year school districts will choose to continue to use PALS as their schoolwide early literacy screener or choose an alternate. This workshop will overview the state statute requirements and research on early identification to set the stage for examining several researched based early literacy screeners. Participants will discover the value of individual subtests and how the data received can be used to inform instructional decision-making.

Districts should consider sending a stakeholder team that will gain pertinent shared knowledge prior to making a decision about the district’s early literacy screener.

Audience Principals, curriculum directors, special education directors, Title I coordinators, reading specialists, interventionists, literacy coaches, and classroom teachers (4K-grade 2)

$75.00 per person for all CESA 8 CIA or Literacy Center member School Districts. $150.00 per person for all other school districts

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing.
