This training includes two face-to-face and one online meeting.

The 2014-15 Effectiveness Project audit data was clear - educators want meaningful observation data, feedback and coaching to improve their practice and grow their skills. This two-day course, with one online support session, will help evaluators and peer coaches to:

  • Collect effective and efficient evidence during observations
  • Focus and align evidence collection to school/district priority areas
  • Practice evidence collection on sample lessons
  • Use effective feedback strategies
  • Learn efficient ways to provide feedback
  • Use coaching to help educators grow in professional practice

Participants will:

  • Get feedback from evidence collected at the school site
  • Practice giving feedback on sample lessons
  • Practice coaching with sample teachers

Workshop Objectives

  • Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of evidence collection, effective feedback and coaching for educator professional growth.
