Lodging:  A room block has been set up at the Hampton Inn Brookfield for the nights preceeding the training at the rate of $144.00/night.  The room block will be available until 12:00 pm noon on 1/10/16 and 1/17/16, respectfully to the training dates.

Audience

  • School / District teams of three or more people, including a cross representation of teachers, mathematics instructors / specialists, mathematics coaches, special educators, instructional leaders, building administrators, district curriculum administrators
  • Teams should include a decision maker and are required to attend all three days of the training.

Outcomes

  • Understand what is required of Wisconsin's State Standards for Mathematics with a focus on the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
  • Recognize the importance of systemic practices in instruction, collaboration and assessment at the universal level.
  • Learn about Wisconsin’s Guiding Principles for Teaching and Learning in the Mathematics Classroom and examine the district’s status for each.
  • Analyze, prioritize and plan around actions that will have a positive impact on student learning.

Preparation

  • Participants should bring a completed student data profile. (template provided upon registration).
  • A laptop or tablet with wireless connectivity (for some activities, it may be helpful for team members to have one-to-one access).

Cost

$195 per person. Includes breakfast and lunch all three days in addition to a copy of NCTM’s Principles to Action book and materials.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the training date for a refund to be issued. Cancellations for the PBIS Conference must be received 30 days in advance. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. The Wisconsin RtI Centers reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.
