During this half-day workshop you will explore adult attitudes that lead to effective engagement of students who face mental health challenges in learning and life. Experience tools and training segments that you can bring back to your school staff.

Topics include:

· Establishing emphatic connections with students and parents.

· Co-planning with students, parents, and providers.

· Core elements and beliefs to consider adopting at a district level.

· Building blocks for intrinsic motivation. 

Who should attend?

· PreK-12 educators, school counselors, social workers, special education teachers, school psychologists, building principals

Registration fee:

  • FREE for CESA 6 Safe and Healthy Schools and Communities representatives of network member districts (up to 3 participants) $50 for each additional registration. *Note: This is the afternoon session of the Safe and Healthy Schools and Communities network meeting
  • $40.00 per person for all other registrations

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
