Presenter:  Judi Cumley, CESA 5 Assistive Technology Specialist

Sunday March 8th, 2015

Event Description:
Speech and Language Pathologists and Educators are constantly looking for GOOD, appropriate books for students with significant disabilities.

This fast-paced session will be a combination of “make and take”, low to high tech books and exploring websites with options to either create your own or read those that are already created. We will be using apps for the iPad and websites accessible to any platform, but resources and examples for the Chromebook and computer software will be shared as well.

Note: Participants of this workshop will receive a special code to download the paid version of Book Creator iPad app for free and will immediately be able to begin making a book for students.

Participants should bring an iPad with permission/password to download apps AND have pictures available for creating your own books for students (student photos, school photos, choices, etc) in your iPad camera roll.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
