Cheryl Tobey is the national expert on formative assessment in mathematics with 1000's of books in print. Teachers will learn how to use formative assessment probes to break down SLOs to set lesson-level learning targets. Teachers will further learn how to create effective common or classroom assessments to support SLOs and effectively monitor student learning progress toward meeting goals.  The session will not be about SLO logisitcs, but about effective assessment practice that can support continuous improvement in an SLO framework.  All attendees will get a Cheryl Tobey book of their choice (we'll have several leveled options on hand). This event is most relevant for grades 3-12.
