This professional development is designed for K-12 teachers and special education teachers to gain a comprehensive perspective of Student Learning Objectives (SLOs) and what they mean at the classroom level. Participants will understand the process ands steps necessary for successful implementation of SLOs and how they relate to the new Wisconsin Assessment System and The Effectiveness Project.
Bring if you have...current goals you are considering and computer/tablets.

Workshop Objectives
Participants will:

  • Understand the importance of quality SLOs for improving student learning.
  • Understand how SLOs fit into the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness System.
  • Understand the SLO process and critical steps for implementation.
  • Practicing writing and reviewing SLOs. 

Who should attend?
Elementary Teachers, 6-12 Core Content Area Teachers (Math,
English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies)

*Note – one credit is available through UW-Oshkosh for $200

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
